What's Happening
Wonderful Parents,
I wanted to take a few moments and let you know how things in the ministry are going. To start things are going great. We have had five more High School students come to Christ in the last two weeks; God is continuously humbling us each week as we see Him move through Flood on Wednesday Nights. RUSH small groups have been a great addition to our Wednesday Night program as students continue to connect and grow in their relationship with Jesus.
As you know we have some Events coming up, that you will want to keep on your radar.
1. IGNITE - Saturday April 2nd 5pm -8pm @PFB - Free event for all ages
2. Easter @ the Fairplex - There will be two services this year 9am and 11am great opportunity to bring unsaved family members and friends to hear the good news of Christ.
3. Rainbow Acres - Missions Trip happening May 26th -30th
4. Bass Lake - June 23rd to 27th
Another great way to stay up to date with all that is happening in the HS ministry here at PFB as well as resources for parents and students, you can go to the youth web site floodhighschool.com
Thanks for your time and support and prayers

Hello
Hello Parents,
We are back and in the swing of things here at PFB in the high school ministry. I wanted to make sure that all the parents are updated on what is happening in the ministry. First I would like to say it has been a smooth transition into the High School ministry and I hope that all of your kids feel the same way. Winter camp was a great weekend of connection and I hope to continue to build and invest in these relationships.
Next is a reminder that we are still meeting for RUSH which is a high school only time of fellowship and discipleship. We start at 6pm with a game or ice breaker then from 6:30 to 7pm we have small groups that are separated by grade and gender. This is a great time for students to get intentional time of prayer and discipleship before FLOOD Wednesday Nights. Every First Wednesday of the month we will have dinner provided.
Finally we have launched our new high school website. floodhighschool.com we are working on making this site easy to use and full of information and resources. So if you have some time check out the website and check out the calendar, events & ministries.
Thank you for your time parents, I look forward to the future partnership in discipling your kids. Have a blessed week.

Camp Update
Hello Parents,
First Everyone is at Camp and Safe. I am apologize for the delay in the update. Let me just begin with the trip up here.
We didn't hit any bad weather until about half way up the mountain when they stopped each car to put on chains. This was a process but not to bad as we got them on all the vehicles and were on our way up. As we were approaching Crestline town the luggage van broke the cable chains on the passenger side of the van and was able to make it to the beginning of the town but was going no further as weather began to worsen. later I would find out that the bus lost its chain right before the hill up to the camp and was able to go no further. The students walked up the road and made it to camp just fine but it would be another 3 hours before we could transport all of there luggage into a Camp vehicle and up to camp. We were off of schedule and in a place we hoped not to be. GOD is still good even in the middle of storms.
All the students went to bed and woke up to about 1 1/2 of snow on the ground and having a blast. So I am looking forward to seeing what God teaches the rest of the weekend. Thank you for your prayers.
I will keep you posted about the weekend and arrival time home tomorrow. Again we are shooting between 12 and 1pm but that may change due to weather.

Update from FLOOD last night...
God is on the move. Last night we continued through our series in James called, "In Your Face," looking at the topic of asking for wisdom during times of suffering. It was a powerful evening of praise, worship, and studying God's word. And the best part: we saw 6 people surrender their lives to Jesus. THAT NEVER GETS OLD!!!
Next week at FLOOD we have baptisms. We don't have anyone signed up for them yet, but we are trusting that Jesus will work in the hearts and lives of people who come to FLOOD so that they get baptized. Last month the same thing happened and we saw seven high school students profess their faith through baptism. I would love to see you come out and join us for this if you can. It's such a powerful event to watch and such an encouragement for anyone who gets baptized to see as many people as possible there in support.
And finally, I want to encourage you about getting your high schooler(s) involved in RUSH on Wednesday nights at 6pm. God has put this on our hearts to start to make sure that students aren't falling between the cracks, to see a true sense of community build amongst the high schoolers. Ryan Palmer is a discipleship juggernaut and already has the staff pumped up to start small groups in February (read his post here).
Thank you again, as I always say, for giving myself and the next gen department here at PFB Church (FLOOD) the honor of partnering with you as you raise your students for Jesus. We do not take it lightly. God bless you all as you continue to love your kids for Jesus.
